ESOL 16-18 Foundation Pathway

This course is for young people aged between 16 and 18 who wish to develop their English Language skills.

What do I learn?
Students will study and practise all four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening). Alongside English language you will also study maths at either GCSE or Functional skill level. Students will develop their skills further, taking part in projects and work experience on the course.
What do I gain?
Functional skills in English and Maths. Award in vocational studies.
What do I need?
You do not need qualifications to join these pathways. However you will need a successful interview with a member of the teaching team to show your commitment to full-time study and your interest in developing English language skills.
What can I do next?
Students can progress to a Level 1 ESOL course to develop their English language skill further or another relevant vocational pathway.
What else do I need to know?
You will study for up to 16 hours per week. Maximum class size - 25.
