Summer Art at College Video Production - (14-16 year olds)

This is your chance to make your very own video! This Summer art at College Video production week covers video production, from the initial idea through to a final product, The course is suitable for complete beginners and for young people with some video skill, it's led by experienced video producers and trainers from Real Time a locally based NGO . www.real-time.org.uk

The will be 5 sessions to plan record edit and screen a film made entirely by you! Real Time has run hundreds of video training projects for young people and uses a practical approach to support confidence, develop ideas and experiment in a safe environment.

What do I learn?
You will learn about
- Use of digital cameras (focus, white balance, aperture, formats etc.)
- Sound recording and use of microphones
- Framing, types of shots, camera movements, cutaways and other techniques and tips
- Different genres and their uses
- How to conduct and record an interview
- Filming on location
- The principles of lighting, both natural and artificial
- Filming to edit
- Legal issues, permissions and copyrights

Everyone is encouraged and supported to take part, and work together in a positive creative way.
What do I gain?
You will have you very own video to take home.
What do I need?
All equipment is provided for this course. If you wish to take home content you will need your own memory stick.
