Students and staff in the Technology faculty at Reading College are to benefit from a new partnership with BW: Workplace Experts.
BW: Workplace Experts, fit out and refurbish workplaces to high-spec standards for big brands in the UK. Specialising in quality, sustainable construction and creating the perfect setting for their clients’ employees to flourish and their businesses to grow, the company has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Selfridges and Amazon. They have recently entered into a partnership with a blue chip retailer to refurbish and fit out their UK headquarters in Reading.
By signing an MOU with BW, Technology faculty staff will have the opportunity to attend CPD events, while students will be able to arrange workplace visits. BW will also work with Reading College to design a bespoke project for construction students. Students will get the chance to visit BW’s site to see the development in action.
Alex Warner, Career Pathway Director at Activate Learning, said: “We are extremely excited to be working with BW, which will offer students and staff alike some fantastic opportunities. In particular, our students are looking forward to visiting the BW’s site to see how BW will completely change the environment whilst operating within an occupied building. This is a major project and the building must remain fully functional as employees will remain working in the building during the works. I am delighted that our students will experience working with such a dynamic and innovative company and I look forward to seeing the work that they will produce as a result of their upcoming project.”
