John Hampden won the toss and elected to bat, scoring a very competitive 115 runs for eight wickets in the allocated 20 overs. Reading College started well, scoring 50 in the first 11 overs. However, with good tight line and length bowling from John Hampden bowlers, Reading were all out for 70 runs in 16 overs.
College Sports Maker, Sagheer Khaliq, said: “It was an excellent experience for our students to compete against a top grammar school which plays two games a week. There were lots of positives to take forward from the game as we start to build a team that is able to play at a good standard. Well done to all who participated.”
