Chinese teacher training to develop use of learning technologies

Activate Learning is to develop the use of technology in teaching and learning in China.
The group has been chosen to deliver a teacher training programme in Chao Yang District, Beijing.
The programme, which will work with up to 50 teachers, will focus on integrating technological innovation into teaching and learning.
It will help teachers to understand the benefits and uses of social and digital learning tools and develop teachers’ confidence in using them to support teaching, learning and assessment.
It will also look ahead to emerging technologies, such as wearable technology and augmented reality, and explore the role of gamification in learning.
The programme follows a visit to Beijing by Activate Learning Chief Executive, Sally Dicketts, and Reading College Assistant Principal, Cheryl Pennington, in June.
Sally and Cheryl are pictured with Ricky Zhang, CEO of the International Co-operation Department of Chaoyang District.
