The centre is conveniently located with parking available for those attending the centre.

Reading College Gas and Energy Centre provides specialist gas, water and energy training and assessment courses, designed to update the skills of plumbers, heating engineers and other building and mechanical services industry professionals to ensure that work is carried out to meet all current standards and regulations. We offer a variety of courses that will improve your depth of knowledge in the industry.

We are a BPEC approved centre staffed by fully qualified training and assessment staff who can offer advice and support as well as a relaxed environment in which to undertake training and assessment including free tea and coffee. Learning will generally be a mixture of both practical and theoretical, giving the opportunity to put into practice skills learnt.

Reading College Gas and Energy Centre has now fully opened its Commercial Training & Assessment area.

Commercial re-assessment including COCN1
This gas safety assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in Core Commercial gas work by practical and knowledge and understanding assessment.

Core Gas Safety, CIGA1
To provide operatives with the theoretic knowledge to safely strip down, maintain/repair and re-commission commercial appliances fitted with both atmospheric and forced draught burners.

Indirect Fired Appliances, CDGA1
Installation, Commission, Service Repair and Breakdown of Commercial Direct Fired Heating Appliances and Equipment.

Direct Fired Appliances & CORT1
Installation, Commission, Service Repair and Breakdown of Commercial Overhead Luminous Radiant Plaque and Radiant Tube Heaters.

Commercial Catering Re-assessment including CCCN1 – Core Gas Safety.
Open/Solid Top Ranges  COMCAT1
Deep Fat and Pressure Fryers COMCAT3.

For all other Commercial or Commercial Catering training & assessments a 20 per cent discount will be given.
