Reading is in the centre of the Thames Valley and is within easy reach of both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
By foot
Kings Road is easily accessible from Reading town centre and local towns such as Wokingham, Bracknell and Maidenhead.
By rail
Reading train station is a 15 minute walk from Reading College Kings Road.
Travelling from London: there are regular train services from London Paddington to Reading (First Great Western Service); the journey from Paddington to Reading takes 25-30 minutes.
Travelling from surrounding areas.
There are direct lines from many local stations including: Didcot, Slough, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Basingstoke, Newbury, Pangbourne, Twyford and Earley.

Directions from the train station to Kings Road site:
- exit Reading Station through the main front entrance. Head straight towards the town centre along Station Road
- when you reach John Lewis turn left into Broad Street. Follow Broad Street and it will turn into Kings Road
- after approximately 200m you will reach some traffic lights at a busy junction. Cross over these lights and continue on the left hand side of the main road, past the Prudential building (on your left)
- follow the signs for A4 Maidenhead and continue up Kings Road. After approximately 200m you will see the College on the left hand side.
By bus
The following buses (available from the station or nearby) stop near Reading College Kings Road.
17, 13 and 14 (Reading buses), 800 and 850 (Arriva), 126, 127, 128, 129 (Thames Travel), 190 (First).

In partnership with Reading Buses, students can get a weekly Travelcard at a reduced rate by showing the driver your Reading College Student ID Card. It is valid for all journeys on Reading Buses routes within the greater Reading area. Please see our financial support page for more details.
By road
Kings Road is about 10 minutes drive from the M4 motorway, and is easily accessed from junctions 10 and 11.
Cycle racks are available for those traveling by bicycle.
Visitor car parking is available and it is advisable to book this in advance through the member of staff you are visiting.
There is a limited amount of car park space for students who live further than four miles from the college. These spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis.
Priority is given to those with disabilities affecting mobility.

The centre is about a 15 minute walk from Wokingham train station. Trains run regularly from Reading and Bracknell.
Parking is also available at the Reading Gas and Energy Centre.
