Childcare is a rapidly expanding area of work with many vacancies. You will need to be multi-skilled and it is important that you enjoy working with babies and young children and have an interest in helping children to develop and learn. You could progress to employment in day nurseries, workplace nurseries, children’s centres, and the nursery classes of primary schools.

Playwork courses are for people working in breakfast, after school and/or holiday clubs and looking to gain a qualification that is recognised in the sector.
