AS/A2 level courses

Whilst studying for A-levels in the Sixth Form Centre, you will benefit from teaching and learning delivered by teachers who are passionate and enthusiastic about their subjects.
Lessons are well organised, student centred and personalised to take account of the necessary support or stretch and challenge you require to achieve your potential.
You will receive timely, detailed written feedback on your written work which clearly outlines strengths and areas for improvement that you need to focus on in order to improve your grade.
In addition to developing your subject knowledge, you will also develop the necessary skills required to be successful in higher education or employment, e.g. independent learning skills, research and communication skills.
You will learn in stimulating subject base rooms which are arranged to ensure you learn collaboratively with your peers. In order to achieve high grades, you will be expected to study for the same amount of time outside of lessons as you do in lessons.
To enhance your learning experience, we also have:
- An extensive enrichment programme
- Plenty of opportunities to take part in a wide range of activities, trips abroad and curriculum visits that will increase your subject knowledge and personal development
- Charity partnerships to help develop your skills, including teaching English to the families of ex-Gurkhas with SSAFA Forces Help and fundraising for a memorial with The Trooper Potts VC Trust
